2019 December – Concord York Rite Trestleboard

CHAPTER and COUNCIL

Greetings Companions,

I hope this finds you all in high spirits now that Winter has finally arrived, although yesterday was rather nice.

Companions, we have an upcoming Special Meeting this coming Tuesday, the 17th, at which we will be conferring the Council Degrees on several Royal Arch Companions, so they will be eligible for the upcoming Commandery Orders. The Meeting will be preceeded by Dinner at 18:15 (6:15 pm). Please contact Recorder Companion Cole for reservations. The Meeting will commence at 19:00 (7:00 pm).

Our final rehearsal will be this coming Monday evening, the 16th, at 18:30 (6:30 pm). All participants are stongly urged to attend. We will do the Select Master first, then the Royal Master. That way we can leave the Lodge Room set up for the next night.

Companions, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or a Joyous Holiday Season for whatever your Followings may be. Happy New Year to you all and may it be filled with Joy and Happiness.

In Companionship,
Dennis A Tuttle, Sr

MOUNT HOREB COMMANDERY

Sir Knights,

I would like to join with the officers of Mt. Horeb Commandery #3, Concord in wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas. As Christian Masons, I hope you can take some time to reflect on the true meaning of the season.

We had a very nice turnout for our Grand Commandery Christmas Observance in Concord on December 1st. It was a great way to kick off the season with fellow Sir Knights and leaders from across our Masonic Family here in NH.

Our Commandery will be once again joining forces with North Star-St. Gerard Commandery in Lancaster to confer the Order of Malta for our inspection on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Lancaster. Rehearsals have been scheduled for the following dates at 2:00 PM:

Sunday, January 26 in Concord
Sunday, February 16 in Lancaster
Sunday, February 23 in Concord
Sunday, March 1 in Lancaster

We are in need of Sir Knights from OUR Commandery to participate in the Order. Please reach out to me, Eminent Dennis Tuttle, Sr, or Eminent Earl Cole to see what you can do to participate and contribute to our work.

Merry Christmas,

Jackson E. Marston
Eminent Commander
Mt. Horeb Commandery #3

NH Hosts Convent General KYCH 2019 Conclave

On October 5, 2019, the Annual Conclave was opened by Most Eminent Grand Master General Dennis A. Sheridan, who acknowledges a very successful session. This was due to a lot of assistance from the members of NH Priory No. 58 KYCH. Knights Tom Tsirimokos, David Collins, Paul Smith, Troy Patoine, Patrick O’Sullivan, Earl Cole, Alan Robinson, Richard Cole and Robert Sutherland. They had help from new member Kaleb Brown, and special help from Joseph Rella.

Everyone pitched in and saw this weekend come to a successful conclusion, and everyone who participated is to be commended.

Attached are a couple pictures gathered from visitors.

“A Triple Tau is literally “three Tau’s,” the tau being the nineteenth letter in the Greek Alphabet. The Tau is not our
English letter “ T “. The Triple Tau of Royal Arch Masonry actually consists of 3 T’s linked in the center joined at their
based. Now that we see as it really is – in parts, this mystical character can be signified in a few different ways. First, the
names Hiram of Tyre, and Hiram Abif, appear in the Phoenician language with the same letters “H” and “T” as they do in
English. Therefore, the Triple Tau takes on the interpretation of the initial letters in Hiram Abif’s name, similar to a brand
in the Ole West or a Mark Master Mark. Second, it signifies also T. H., Templum. Hierosolym, the Temple of Jerusalem,
and when used as the Royal Arch symbol, some jurisdictions teach that the wearer acknowledges himself a servant of
the true God; who had there established His worship, and to whose service that glorious Temple was erected. Templum
Hierosolym is a Latin term. Thirdly, Christians in Greek or Roman influence anciently used a “Tau Cross.” So, the basis of
a Triple Tau in early church history would mean the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Royal Arch symbol
therefore aptly recalls to our minds our constant duty to offer worship to The Great Elohim; The Most High: The
Everlasting: The Almighty God.” Extract from Texas, The Grand Royal Arch Chapter of. The Grand Royal Arch Chapter of

Brothers, Companions, and Sir Knights, the location of this Saturday’s Conclave of Instruction is incorrect in the newsletter. The correct location is Concord. Sorry for the confusion.
